Prayer & Meditation
The Foundation supports research to advance objective scientific understanding of prayer and meditation, including proposals from the fields of psychology, neuroscience, sociology, anthropology, and the medical sciences (including nursing and hospice care). Currently, the Foundation welcomes proposals that explore prayer and meditation within the areas of philosophy, theology, virtue ethics, and character education.

- This three-year grant is to conduct a series of investigations concerning the relation between prayer and the physical body. In the first study, emphasis is placed on how the body is positioned during various prayer acts.
